Claim: Tamworth Borough Council doesn’t have a reception desk.

This one is particularly grating. In an effort to make himself look like the amazing crusader he is in his head, a Councillor decided to start a petition demanding the Council open up a reception desk. What’s the trouble with that you say? Well simply the fact that there already is a reception, with the same staff and private meeting options, the whole shebang. Where is it? The Assembly Rooms, and it’s been there three years.

You’ve got to ask yourself why someone, especially an elected Councillor who is meant to be truthful and helpful to residents, would tell a downright lie and get 1000 people to believe it and sign a petition to demand something that is already there. To gain popular points maybe? Surely not!
