It might be summer up here on the surface of the Northern Hemisphere (well almost already over here in Blighty), it seems however that everyone’s favourite fictional bad boy the devil himself should be buying in the knitwear and investing in a sauna. It seems people of Tamworth that hell has indeed frozen over.
We’ve reported on the vendetta Councillor Richard Kingstone has had against Councillor Robert Pritchard for years. He’s completely failed to acknowledge by name the fact that Pritchard is the County Councillor that covers his ward for a long while. Tonight though, he went so far as sharing Councillor Pritchard’s Facebook post with a gripping update on Coton Lane. Given his embargo and hate for anything Pritchard, this is significant. It won’t have been done without thought, and Kingstone is as devious as he is pompous.
So our theories on this sudden about turn are as follows:
Knowing the work is about to start, that he has ‘campaigned’ for (has he heck). Is he now making sure that if anything goes wrong with it or causes inconvenience (which he has actually moaned about previously) then his followers go after the now more visible Pritchard with their complaints.
He wants to put people off the scent of a County Council run. Despite it being bloody obvious the man was very much considering it, he’s since come out and said he’s more than likely not going to run. It’s around the time it would be safe to quell the rumours before making an announcement nearer to May that due to popular demand, how could he disappoint everyone and not stand?
He wants to get close to the Tory party again. Despite his protests that he’s nothing to do with a political party, he most certainly was when he needed them to raise his profile and get elected for the first time. His long term chances of staying elected as anything are getting slimmer and he needs another profile boost to stay relevant. It just wouldn’t do for Kingstone not to be a someone in the political world and play up to his sycophantic following.
Or maybe he couldn’t be bothered to copy and paste Pritchard’s post.
Whatever the reason we highly doubt he just suddenly decided to share his nemesis’s Facebook post without a reason. No matter what, he is shameless to even comment on and share any work Pritchard is doing when he’s done his level best to initiate Pritchard’s political downfall.
Kingstone has been busy of late with engagement posts on Facebook to keep himself relevant. Such as this one complaining about Labour’s new youth brainwashing club.

Kingstone of course fails to point out that the youth wing of the Tory party is hardly anywhere near as organised or motivated as the socialists and most definitely does not need to brainwash them. Kingstone to our knowledge has never had any experience of a youth political wing having only decided to get into politics and self promotion nearly 20 years ago when he refused to pay for £20 theft prevention measures on his repeatedly stolen black bin.
Naturally Kingstone doesn’t name the party that was involved in ‘nefarious practices’ because his mission generally is to make them all look bad in one way or another, because for him the future is independent (for now). Kingstone also doesn’t have the bollocks to stand by his opinion and ends his post with ‘I may be completely off the mark with this’ preferring to no doubt lap up the praise and encouragement from his following no doubt commenting “oh no Richard you’re so right! Aren’t you wonderful Richard, can I lick your big toe Richard?”. Ok we made the last one up.
Youth indoctrination by political parties has been a topic of ours before. Especially when Labour party members and Councillors are school teachers and monopolise their schools politics classes. Even in Tamworth. Labour’s ploy to use looks like the beginnings of a new Hitler Youth. You might think that extreme, but please bear in mind their plans to lower election age to 16, and their plans are being rolled out nationally to make sure those 16 plus voters are theirs. Worrying much?
