Of course, the electioneering had already started and the not so local Troll Paul Brina Brindley (failed businessman, failed Councillor, liar, cheat, scoundrel, bounder, gollumpus, blunderbuss, addle pate, back biter) has already started pushing out his various fake posts on his social media groups Tamworth Voice, Spotted Tamworth etc deriding the state of Tamworth as well as posts promoting Kingstone. The frequent flyers of those groups won’t notice or remember of course that the troll happily promoted the current shower in power.
You’ll notice that Kingstone in his post above has graciously censored out all of the candidates addresses for the ward he’s standing in other than his own. How altruistic you’d think. Then you get told the truth by us, which is that the candidates choose whether to have their addresses displayed on these notices or not. Including Councillor Robert Pritchard, the incumbent County Councillor whom Kingstone has an obsession with defeating. You will note that Kingstone has singled out Pritchard for not living in Tamworth. Here’s the uncensored version which is publicly available and shatters the illusion of Kingstones ridiculous statement immediately.
Notice that three candidates already had their address withheld already, but Kingstone ‘censored’ them as if he was doing them a favour. The real reason he did this, is because Councillor Pritchard’s address has Tamworth in it, and he didn’t want awkward questions about it. If you didn’t think Kingstone was capable of being sly and dishonest before, well what do you make of this. Now Hopwas might not be within the boundaries of Tamworth proper, take a look at a map, it’s as near as damnit and Councillor Pritchard has lived in Tamworth we believe for almost his entire life. Not to mention serving it as a Councillor for 20 years or so. Hopwas is also most definitely within Staffordshire, and is 5 minutes down the road from where Kingstone lives. We also note Kingstone says that your vote is between you and the ballot box, yet in previous elections has tried his hardest to act as the trusted third party to influence the outcomes of elections. People of course still believe him. Now the guy has skin in the game, he’s not going to be so overt, but as before he’s got his pal Paul Brindley doing the dirty work for him.
There’s no real surprises on the rest of the wards up for grabs. Other than as one Mailbag contribution stated amazement at UKIP still fielding candidates consisting of former Tamworth Borough Councillor Bob Bilcliff and his wife. We suspect that Reform are all friends and family of former local Tory chairman Ian Cooper given that’s what they’ve done before in other areas. As we’ve said before, Reform are quite simply Tory defectors who weren’t given enough attention in the Tory party. It exists only because Nigel Farage whom many see as a man of the people (well he has been on I’m a celebrity) seems willing to set up new parties every time he needs a rebrand to chase the publicity and power he craves.
Only a few months ago Farage stated that Elon Musk backed him and his party and that the ‘coolness’ of that rubs off on to younger voters. How quickly a few months changes that situation when Musk decided Farage wasn’t the right leader for reform after all. Not so cool now eh, especially when the rebellion against the unelected meddler Musk is in full swing in the USA who prefer disgraceful insane billionaires to stay away from buying their way into politics. We came very close to Reform being a puppet for Elon Musk and Donald Trump to extend their tentacles over to British politics. Unfortunately it just proved that Reform are style over substance and just want to lap up the attention. They also cannot get over the fact that racists see the party as a legitimate means to their end.
Rather more interesting is a political ‘battle’ outside of Tamworth, where former leader of the Tamworth Labour Party council group, and paid consultant for Sarah Edwards MP, Simon Peaple, is taking on the deputy leader of Staffordshire County Council Philip White.
It would seem that Labour candidates are thin on the ground and Tamworth had to donate one. Although Peaple is likely just a paper candidate in this instance, it is very strange how they could not get someone more local to that ward to stick their name down. Labour of course do think they’ve got control of Staffs County Council in the bag. They deserve it don’t they considering how well things are going in Government and locally in Tamworth?
We love an election here at Debunking, because it’s the only time there’s a way to expose the tricks people like Kingstone use to get themselves elected and show them up for who they are when they’ve got a vested interest in getting themselves elected. Unfortunately when it comes to people like him, nothing has changed, although prior to this site existing, Kingstone would say and do things he now finds ‘inappropriate’. Our focus is going to be on his election campaign this year, especially since he still has the troll in his pocket. We suspect that Reform will gain vote share, of course, since they’re new and shiny, saying the right things for voters to swoon over. What we do hope is that Tory supporters wake up and realise, that you can only punish your party for it’s shit leadership for so long before you get completely the opposite of what you wanted. Just look what happened in Tamworth.
