The fact things are moving on had nothing to with this man or his petition, Labour were already looking in to this as they were making visits to parish meetings to see how they do things and gather information. (Not Carol Dean of course she still had her head on the sand).

Talking of Carol Dean and the back and forth emails she had with Kingstone. One being her saying she had no idea what he was talking about as things were already being done. Richard maybe keep the politics to actual decent politicians like the Tories who wanted this from the off and stated this in a full council meeting way before your silly little petition.

I sleep rough in and around Tamworth. I keep being asked by council people what help I need. Every time the is always the same. I don’t need help. I’m happy. I’m healthy. I like the way I live and sleep. I find this area peaceful and quiet at night. I’ve not come across another person who sleeps out at night but likes to hang out like me in the day time. The one threatening violence with more than their fists? Is that the same person who has been charged over assaulting a taxi driver? And has history with the police for being violent against others along with a drink drive conviction? (Is the Conservative Party aware and do they allow convicted criminals to run in elections?) Not to mention they lost custody and contact with their own kids because he abandoned one in town whilst intoxicated at 1am after a mayors ball (why the fuck a kid was at such an event boggles me)

I complained to the cabinet office about Paul ‘Brina’ Brindley being a fraudulent price and disgusting bully, I sent proof and told them this man doesn’t deserve his BEM. They have had a number of complaints (double figures) about him. But before they could truly take action they need at least 50 separate people to complain.

Meetings

Labour moved meetings back to the Marmion house just so Mariam Couchman could attend meeting as she couldn’t walk to the town hall (“health issues”) so people need to stop picking on Marie Bailey for being ill. At least hers is a real health issue and not self inflicted.

Dear urchin. I would like to file a missing person report for councillor Marie Bailey. I have attached her attendance record, what the hell is she playing at!!! A complete waste of time representing her community, she is just there to cream money off the people of Tamworth. Why bother being a councillor if you can’t be bothered to show up. It’s bad enough labour are in power, but this water of time politician probably explains why. Shame on her.

We’ve never put any stead into attendance figures, how a Councillor represents their patch when they’re contacted is much more important. The mailbag and the articles made for interesting reading over a coffee break and at times and presented information that I wasn’t aware of and I’ll miss the additional insight.

It’s alarming to think about the physical threats being made over other people’s escapades, often about stuff that is already out there.

Debunking is something Tamworth needs or needed, to give balance to some other sites / face book pages.

Although I tend not to read those sites as they are pretty pointless.

Unfortunately running a site such as must come with costs and risks.

Evident with some of the threats made and the efforts some people I know have gone to try and find out who runs the site.

Whilst he’s a bit of a flop as a Castle ward councillor (does the ward get representation from any councillor these days?) well done to Lee Wood for speaking up re: Pride – and thanks to the person who shared his post about it.

As for the rest who are happy to roll around in pride flags every July – Where are you?

There’s maybe three dozen people with enough connections/interest in local politics, general levels of ‘being-arsed’, and “not being 800 years old” to run a site like this, narrow it down by who it definitely isn’t (Sarah Edwards, Natalie Statham, Kingstone, Brina, etc. aren’t going to spend time constantly shit-talking themselves), narrow it down based on who you’re nice or not as mean to, narrow it even further down to very few people who couldn’t resist and have historically acknowledged this site’s existence, and there’s your rough ballpark.

For bonus points Debunking Tamworth did briefly have a Facebook group back in the day and all the founding members were the Conservative councillors and the adjecent lot, so there’s your answer give or take. And if we’re being really petty, “research wench” and “email urchin” is exactly the kind of tweed-and-tophat shit your nearest Young Tory student society would think constitues ‘great banter’.

You’re obviously going to deny everything, no one’s currently out to prove it, and for the sake of keeping Brina mad I do kinda hope they don’t, but I would have really thought your previous forays into almost getting exposed would have made you ever so slightly more humble with regards to not assuming you’re by far the smartest person in the room.

I’m not interested in the chart that he made but was interested in the fact he told the reporter he was no longer friends with the person who sent it to the press. Well mr AC your best friends are still friends with [Redacted] how does that make you feel?

Special Needs

Lichfield’s Labour MP Dave Robertson has now also called on the newly-elected leader of Staffordshire County Council to give assurances that support for children with special educational needs and disabilities will not be cut.

Stretton residents face having to help cover a £20,000 bill for a new election after Barry Martin announced that he is thinking of resigning, less than a month into the job.

Brina when you resigned causing a by-election you were only thinking about your self and things you couldn’t get out of being a councillor (mainly jobs for your mates) so when you talk about other councillors being unfit for the role deep down inside you know your salty because that’s what you were, unfit to be a councillor and that’s the real reason you stepped down.

Mock Council

An idea…

It is visualised being a councillor is easy work etc and it seems some new councillors have found out the hard way. But an idea does spring to mind.

Lets scrap Kingstones residents group which he is only doing to look good and do it another way.

Lets have a mock full council meeting for residents. Residents will take the place of councillors, an agenda will be set by officers which is not confidential and in the meeting residents can act in a provisional capacity on the agenda items.

With the CEO and officers there the feedback can go to them straight away to be debated properly in full council or comittees where it is fit by elected members.

This gives them first hand experience of what actually happens, and I am sure some people will also put in questions.

The down side is the extra cost to the public for officers time but as so many air their views on facebook and then don’t stand or vote. Or stand and gain a seat because of public feeling with no experience and then resign etc. It may be an eye opener.

The above is only a small scenario and definitely could be tweaked a lot but it is an idea.

As a person who is involved with NUE we have always distanced ourselves from politics. The events we do which have covered Tamworth over the years have supported groups from all ages and aim to provide education and fun with art and other events. The events take a lot of planning and bring a lot of joy to the people.

Whether it be the workshops, the Angel Wings or Elf trails, competitions and more we have never been politically biased with anyone. We work together with other local groups and always have a community focused output. Attached is a list of our upcoming events and it would be great to see you there.

More Elections

The Council doesn’t have the power to cancel the elections outright, they can only request it from the Government and they can only do it for the year. But doing that risks feeding into the narrative that democracy is being undermined out of fear of Reform’s rise. It might not change who’s in charge, but elections are a fundamental part of our democracy. We shouldn’t try to silence people’s voices just because we might not like what they’re saying, even if that voice is still backing Reform.

Filling Time

If only there was already a legal group of people who represented residents, perhaps already with planning power. What about putting a time limit on how long someone can be on it as well, let’s say 4 years.

Politics

Hello,

I do very much enjoy your site, the speculation and name calling is sometimes a bit vicious.

I tend not to judge someone by their politics; I grew up in a house dominated by talk of politics from an early age, and the years of Thatcher and Kinnock where anything but boring.

Being a Cllr feels at times as though you’ve volunteered for the stocks, I’ve actually had people tell me you should accept it as that’s part of the role.

Who would find it acceptable to turn up to work to be belittled and ridiculed, after all for trying to help people?

Cllr Summers is a friend of mine and it concerns me with some of the comments made, he’s dedicated to the role and has shown a lot of commitment.

Small fact, most of us get on with each other, both past and present, not all but the majority of Cllrs.

I will never forget my first meeting at the Council where a member of the opposition came up and shook my hand and welcomed me aboard, Ken I’ve never forgot that and have looked to play it forward.

Also, Cllr Pritchard and Cllr Oates are both very hard working and have dedicated a lot of their time and effort into trying to do the best for Tamworth.

Rob is like an encyclopaedia of local politics and the Conservative group. If you cut Jeremy he’d bleed Tamworth, both have looked to do a lot for the Town.

I’ve read the criticism of Cllr Lewis, who I actually find a nice chap, his relatively new so on a learning curve, which I can sympathise with.

I like most of the others as well and Gareth Coates is a great person who I get on with very well, he’s a great Mayor as well.

When I finish as a Borough Cllr I’ll have done 16 years in the role, the secret to four elections wins is simple, work hard, and treat Residents with respect and honesty.

The people who have helped me throughout this journey have been my strength, family, friends, Residents and fellow Councillors of different backgrounds.

Also, I was asked to come back to the Conservatives by friends within the party and we have a common objective to work on in the remaining time the Borough has left, I was nominated as Deputy, I didn’t seek the role.

With age comes experience and sometimes a little wisdom, tip – don’t eat yellow snow 😀

With reform now elected we will have to see what happens, they say they are going to sort out the county council and its massive debt, as well as fill all the pot holes. I had just finished my normal two hours in the allotment and went up into town for my normal Saturday treat of a sausage roll and elephants foot from a lovely local bakery. When suddenly when I left the bakery I heard some right going on outside so I wondered out to see what was going on.

Whilst I have no intention of voting for Reform I did want to pick up on one thing in your last featured article.

I totally agree the leaflets are very much about national issues, and I’m unsure why our candidate in Perrycrofts appears to be basing himself in the town centre rather than going door to door in the ward!

However, at least they have sent something! We have had very little from the other 5 candidates! One letter from Labour to just one of the voters in the house, leaflets from the conservatives but not very recently, and nothing from the independent, green, or UKIP.

If these people want our vote at the very least they should deliver a leaflet, there is really no excuse not to. Postal votes are already out and people will be sending them back!

So we are being told that we can vote by Kingston. He’s removed addresses of other candidates, why? So people cannot see that he’s not the only local candidate? ‘Be kind’ he says, what a snivelling hypocrite he is!

For a number of years he has run a vindictive and malicious campaign against the conservative group and Cllr Pritchard specifically. ‘Be kind’ if only he practiced what he preached, shameful duplicity by Kingston.
The concern we all must have is if he cannot attend Tamworth Council meetings, he was recently referred to as Cllr 50%, how will he represent us at county? He failed to attend Lichfield planning meetings to speak for us residents about the developments across the road, he did shout a lot, how will Kingston represent us in Stafford? We all know it was Pritchard, who Kingston hates, who carried the fight to Lichfield, while being subject of many of Kingstons back biting comments.

Kingston deliberately breaches protocols by voicing opinions on issues for publicity, that excludes him from voting on key issues, thus removing the representation in council he was elected to carry for residents.

For sure I won’t be voting for this hypocrite, I will vote for people who actually represent the community, rather than their own ego, and Kingston is just a noisy mouth piece interested in himself only. He is truly the epitome of a plastic politician.

With the county elections coming up soon we will start to see all sorts of claims from all sorts of people. One to look out for will be the independent candidate who is standing in the north, former mayor, purveyor of duplicity and a vindictive operator. He wants to stand for county council, however he struggles to attend Tamworth council, I saw he was referred to as Mr 50% a while back, so not sure how he manages to attend council in Stafford? Do we think Kingstone the duplicitous is hoping he can collect a few votes from potential conservative voters to finally achieve his sorry life ambition? By the way, Kingstone is so set on getting elected he wants the voters to deliver his sad propaganda. If he got off his arse he could do it himself, might help with [Redacted] as well.

I think Debunked should be doing a Kingstone style ‘my recommendations’ for the county election! That would be fun. Well given the candidates we have few options, and given the performance of the labour council would anyone vote for expanding their incompetence?

Of the conservatives Pritchard, he has a profile, Oates as a county councillor is relatively anonymous, but a capable political operator, Clements seems to attach herself to any cause there is at election time, the new man who seems to be trying to raise his profile seems to like Spud man. Not sure what the rest of the field looks like.

What will happen, if none of them can offer us all some real inspiration, offer some fight for the people of Tamworth, the people will will stay at home and give the idiots the chance to be elected, as happened in the last GE.

County Kingstone

Kingstone filled in his county council election application. Is he resigning his position at the school to continue his aim of trying to attack Pritchard at county? How will he attend county council meetings in Stafford when he struggles to get to the town hall in Tamworth? If memory serves he got elected as an independent last time by attacking his opponents attendance and voting record. Given his current attendance should he not be feeling like a hypocrite?

I think that councillor voted more on the planning committee in local issues than Kingstone has because Kingstone deliberately excludes himself. What a vindictive and small minded person he is. Is his mate Bill joining him or is that still a ‘job done’?
What is Kingstons job title? Director of Community and .. ???? just shows you don’t have to practice what you preach.

Wouldn’t it be good if Kingstone just told the truth about why he constantly attacks and tries to belittle just about everything Pritchard does? He has talked about honesty and integrity but then colludes with one of the biggest perpetrators of lies and fraud the town has known, spreading their petty misinformation and half truths. He does not like it when he is called out, and had his Muppets defend him….but they don’t do it as much these days, we wonder why that is?

Has Kingstone got a single thread of integrity?
I thought when Kingstone first joined TBC he carried some gravity and authority, it turns out however, all he appears to carry is a knee jerk vindictive ego and a want to be relevant and important. That’s something he definitely won’t be at county, a petty independent councillor, who might make grand statements but will have no responsibility for delivery. Finally, we all know he’s not a highways engineer, what a fool he made if himself!
