This is Councillor Richard Kingstones’ latest post, we might seriously consider a claim for whiplash the amount of times he’s sharply braked and done an about turn. In the post as you can see above, he criticises the Right Honourable PR disaster Sarah Edwards MP for criticising the roadworks in parliament, as we covered yesterday. We can’t disagree with him at all, and applaud him for actually telling the truth. We do have to remember that sadly he backed Edwards for MP and is happy to back the Labour party generally when it suits him. He did this whilst seriously trying to damage the reputation of local Tories, particularly the one he mentions in his post. It unfortunately seems that he is simply continuing his usual behaviour by amplifying what he believes people want to hear. We would love to be proven wrong going forward, we would like to see Councillor Kingstone continue to use his influence for good rather than score points which he states he is unimpressed with Edwards for.
It seems Edwards and her team have badly misjudged the sentiment in the town surrounding the roadworks, as we see from fresh comments under Kingstones’ post.

Of course Kingstone has also criticised roadworks himself in the past and we’ve called him out on it. It always seems a bit rich when he decides to call someone out for doing exactly the same. He was wrong then and so is Edward’s now. Maybe he’s seen the light, we can only hope so.
We also notice of course that Kingstone has changed his profile picture temporarily to one that a reader sent in to our Mailbag recently. It’s nice to know he’s still an avid reader of the site despite his previous vehement opposition to it. Hi Richard!
