Does anyone remember this story? It was about the time the right honourable porkie pie teller Sarah Edwards MP said that a hotel in Aldergate had ‘lost £700 in business in 24 Hours’ and that Staffordshire County Council had not communicated appropriately with businesses or residents on the stretch?
Yeah that one, the one where she tried and failed miserably at trying to help her Labour colleagues in their quest to become County Councillors. We pointed out that the hotel, which is used as Labours campaign headquarters had been fully accessible, and the likelihood of them having lost business was zero. Well couldn’t you blow us down with a troll fart when we saw this press release from Staffordshire County Council. Especially this part:

Well well. Isn’t that interesting. Edwards didn’t name the business in question, however, how many hotels are there in Aldergate? How many did she choose to make a video outside of?
Rather interesting isn’t it. And in her statement in parliament, she said her community were ‘up in arms’ about the roadworks and disruption, when in fact she was roasted in her comments for lying about it. She was still pushing the idea that the roadworks were an issue, only just over a week ago.

Apparently the County Council have been failing us for a decade, but with what? She of course doesn’t specify:

She says ‘us’ as if she had any idea where Tamworth was 10 years ago. She’s from Moseley, she doesn’t give a toss about Tamworth, her recent posts about being appointed as a chair to some committee, as well as her standing up and talking about the Ukraine war, show she’s only interested in being an MP. Quite why she thinks her domestic Tamworth audience give a shit what else she does down there is beyond us.
Sarah Edwards MP is a liar. So are her colleagues. Labours ineptitude at running public services, giving in to Unions who pay them to do their bidding, is rife. Even Tamworth and Lichfield’s joint waste management service have had to be paid to come to the rescue for Labours failure to have refused collected from the streets of Birmingham. This hot off the bankruptcy for failing to budget for their failures over the time they’ve been in control over there. Yet people still vote for Labour. If Tamworth trusts Labour a second time and helps them secure control of the County Council, we will be in a world of pain. Don’t underestimate what Labour can do to damage our County in the few years the County Council has left before they strip us of our right to proper local representation under devolution. They are pressing ahead with their damaging agendas before they know full well they will be booted out of power at the next general election. They will have changed the face of politics in this country by then, and not in a good way.
