As of the 2021 census, Sikhs made up 0.9% of the population, or 520,000 people. Not an insubstantial number of course, but consider how many Sikhs actually live in Tamworth. Now our headline states that ‘Tamworth Borough Council Baits The Racists’ and no doubt someone at Tamworth Council think “yeah and Debunking has bitten”. Of course, because anyone who questions anything to do with minority groups is immediately racist. Especially under a Labour government and council. When the overwhelming majority of people just want to get on and live their lives, and like those behind Debunking, couldn’t care less if you worship at the church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster so long as your religious beliefs do not impair on our own enjoyment of life. It seems Labour controlled Tamworth Borough Council just cannot help themselves when it comes to religious holidays and completely ignore those in the 46.2% of Christian believers and their holidays completely. They and our Labour MP can’t even be bothered to wish Mum’s of Tamworth a Happy Mother’s Day without making it political, or in TBC’s case ignoring it completely.
As we’ve mentioned before, the council received a fat wad of cash to investigate community cohesion after the riots graced our town last year. Someone needs to have a serious word with those at the top of the council and ask them why they would seemingly deliberately stoke the fire here in Tamworth among those who really are racist, by ignoring religious or cultural events of importance to the majority of people who live here. Like we say though, you are immediately labelled as racist or far right if you should dare say anything of the sort. Those genuine racists and their parties become a voice people start to listen to as the only ones who say what people want to hear. That is how they gain legitimacy. It’s a ridiculous situation that starts and ends with the left leaning of our political spectrum, who happen to control the council, the country, and indeed make up a large number of the civil service and educators in the UK. At the very far end of the socialist scale of course they completely strip away anyone’s right to practice a religion, but thankfully we aren’t there yet as our population yo-yo between left and right not giving them the chance to really bed in. If Labour had been in power for the last hundred years, you can bet we’d all be working on communal farms by now.
This is yet another example of an out of touch borough council obsessed with focus groups, surveys, getting your opinions, who then ignore them completely and do their own thing. Conservatives at least managed to keep the lid on the worst of it, Labour however let the crazy free. Not only that, but after Starmer has done a huge dump on our country in such a short space of time, they still feel entitled to take control of Staffordshire County Council in May. They somehow feel they deserve it. We do know however from signs we are seeing that they are getting push back. Labour have been very overt in flexing their socialist muscles, which we believe may cost them the elections this year. Unfortunately, there’s still people who think the Tory reject reform party are the answer, despite not having a clue what they’re about. Reform is simply on trend for morons this year, in the same way everyone wants to get hold of Dubai Chocolate. We suspect the latter would be a lesser disappointment than Reform getting in to power.
As for Palm Sunday, well we didn’t know what it was here at Debunking, the heathens that we are, so we educated ourselves, and we wish all Christians a blessed Palm Sunday, even if our Labour Borough Council won’t.
