You’ve got to ask yourself, if you’d been utterly irresponsible and decided to go against the advice of medical professionals, would you post that all over your Councillor Facebook page to tell everyone? We doubt many people would even tell their personal Facebook page that they’d been as daft. Here we are though, the world plus dog finding out about Helen’s antics, not just because she posted it on her Councillor page, but because a reader sent it in to Debunking too.

It seems Debunking was wrong about Helen Hadley being heartless, because she’s managed to give blood which indicates the presence of a heart, unless they used a siphon of course. She’s also had some praise on the Mailbag in recent months for seemingly managing to get things done that her Labour ward colleague Chris Bain failed at. We actually applaud Helen for one giving blood, and two showing up Councillor Bain for apparently being utterly useless.

This is more a cautionary tale about over sharing. If you’re going to go against Medical advice and drink alcohol when you’ve just given blood, that’s one thing. Sharing such irresponsible behaviour and the fact you literally fainted and had to be looked after and disrupted a group of people’s evening because of it, is not a good look. Especially when you’re in the public eye. Finishing off your post with the rather obvious statement of “Nurses know best” is not really a get out, considering the world generally has a problem with not following medical advice, which we all saw the best examples of during the pandemic. Seeing as Helen bought a whole bottle of wine, we do wonder if she’d have stopped there.

It is apparently Stoptober so it makes it all the more ironic that Helen is posting this as a community leader. If she believed she was putting out some ‘learned from the error of my ways’ post then she was sorely wrong. Considering her age, she’s been knocking around this world long enough to know going against Medical advice is not the best idea. We will leave the last thought to our reader who sent in the tip:

To think there are actually arrogant people out there that don’t listen to advice from medical professionals.
