Wow, what a statement. “For a few days, I can be among people of genuine worth and enduring values“. Debunking takes that to mean that everyone who isn’t a member of the Labour party simply isn’t worth Councillor Chris Bains’ time. How else could you interpret it? It appears that the snobbery and divisiveness is strong with this Labour acolyte who asserts also that only these people at the party conference he has enjoyed this week have “enduring values”.

We might as well all slink away with our tail between our legs, for Councillor Bain has forsaken us all for the Labour faithful. What it shows clearly here is the arrogance of the Labour party generally and the contempt in which it holds everyone else in the country. Whilst the Tories are characterised as a ‘broad church’, this rather damning statement by Bain pretty much sums up everything about the Labour party ethos. They’re a cult as we’ve stated before on this site, and they look down on anyone who is not one of them and doesn’t think like them. It is rare to see the sentiment exposed in this manner so publicly.

We feel that if the general voting public were exposed to more Labour politicians and activists in the wild, they’d be rather horrified. Alas they only see them appear at doorsteps telling the lies they know no-one else will hear and make them accountable for. Now in the age of council meetings on YouTube, more people could, if they wanted, see just how incompetent they are as well as arrogant and contemptuous. Few do however.

There are notable strong exceptions to this behaviour locally such as that of Ken Norchi and Margaret Clarke, but most of the rest of them have, to use an American expression ‘drunk the Kool Aid’ of Labour and are obsessed with it to the point that they literally wear the badges and sport the branded goods.

Isn’t it ironic that the Labour party brass are very much not in the 99%

Do a Google image search for Tory activist and Labour activist. It’s quite eye opening. For both sets of results at the time of writing you will actually only see images of Labour people with badges on or holding divisive banners. You will also see examples of just how easily Labour activists get rattled by opposing views in the Mailbag. We recall comments in particular from someone saying they had “champagne on ice” around the time of the elections. Which for most normal level headed people would be taken to be quite sad and weird regardless of which party they were supporting.

So when will people see just what the Labour party think of us normal people not in their bubble. Well the usual rabidly pro Labour comments sections of the BBC News website would tell you that it’s already happening. They’re becoming more unpopular by the month and there’s only been a few of them passed since the general election. However our general populace tend to forget this stuff, hence why Labour got voted in this time around. It didn’t help that the Conservatives in Westminster were and still are a shit show, and are doomed to elect an unpopular caretaker leader quite soon.

The rest of us who know where our bread is best buttered, will have to watch on and gnash our teeth at the actions of this government and indeed our own local council for the next few years. For the people of Tamworth and indeed the country knew not what they did, and thus it came to pass.
