In the latest episode of Tamworth’s not-so-greatest hits, two of the town’s finest have been invited to a government-sponsored retreat—otherwise known as custody—following a bit of a kerfuffle.

Darren Woodley, 55, and Cameron Bell, 23, of Tamworth, took to the Cannock Magistrates’ Court stand, where they cheerfully denied involvement in the chaos. The duo will have another chance to showcase their innocence at Stafford Crown Court on 26 August.

Meanwhile, Staffordshire Police, never ones to miss out on a party, have already rounded up 14 other guests under suspicion of violent disorder.

If you’ve been busy stirring the digital pot by posting or taking your frustrations out in the hotel, why not do yourself a favour and turn yourself in? After all, the authorities might appreciate the effort………………………………..

But don’t worry, there’s plenty of room left on the guest list, as the police aim to welcome around 30 more into their care. So, if you’ve got a knack for stirring up trouble, you might get an invite, too!
