He must have known we’d be all over this. We imagine he’d be the first to lambast someone for actively choosing not to attend a Council meeting because they publicly state ‘their time can be better spent elsewhere’. We have as it happens absolutely no problems with Councillors having meetings or personal engagements that clash and not being able to attend a council meeting. That’s just life.

To state you’re not going because it isn’t worth your time is both arrogant towards the Borough Council and his colleagues who sit on it, and the residents who elected him to be there. Regardless of what the meeting contents are, he is elected to be part of that meeting and vote on whatever comes up in it. It’s not like full council happens that often

So what’s really going on here? Notice that Richard has said he is chairing a meeting of the scouts. You will know one major personality trait of Kingstone if you read this site, and that is of him being an attention seeker. Going to this Scout meeting tonight instead, makes him the most important person in the room with all eyes on him, whereas at the council his behaviour is rapidly making him an irrelevant sidenote. He simply won’t get the attention he craves tonight, nothing he can moan about is on the agenda, the people of Tamworth won’t get to hear his voice. So he isn’t going. Otherwise, why not just say he had a schedule conflict, or better still nothing at all. Oh right, yes of course, a Facebook post about it for yet more attention! We’re almost certain his tame troll friend won’t be re-posting this on Spotted Tamworth.

PS: As of the time of writing, his usual sycophants haven’t commented on his post. He’s gained three likes. Unusual for Kingstone’s page.
